I believe that you are the guide in your therapeutic journey and I am here to hold the flashlight as we walk, illuminating the things you might be missing, or those that need a little extra attention. I am here to walk alongside you and to provide the nudges you need to grow.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology – Cooperative Education Program from the University of Alberta and am currently working as an Interning Counselling Psychologist while I complete my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Before returning to school, I worked for 6yrs in an intensive therapeutic program for severely traumatized youth and families, teaching all ages how to build and maintain healthy relationships. I operate from a trauma-informed, strength-based, person-centred, emotionally-focused approach and believe that to grow and progress, we must first understand how we got to where we are.
It is a fact that every one of us has struggled with emotional or mental health concerns, just as every one of us has struggled with physical injuries or illnesses. You have already taken the first step by visiting my profile, so I encourage you to take the next step by visiting me for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.
