Dayami Fernandes
Calgary Counselling Therapist
CCC | CCPCP-R | MACP | B.Ed
“My passion is to help people achieve self-understanding and self-awareness. When people understand themselves, they are able to make decisions based on current needs and the goals they have for life”.
A leading Calgary counselling therapists practice, Conscientia Counselling, was founded by me in 2016 after finishing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in 2015. In the early stages, Conscientia Counselling was linked to Insight Counselling where I worked as a second supervisor and focused on working with the Spanish population. Today Conscientia Counselling is becoming a full practice with learning opportunities for students engaged in practicum practice in order to finish their Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology

I offer practical tools and techniques to help you understand and manage your anxiety, promoting a more balanced and fulfilling life. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques to enhance mental well-being.I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, combining elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT): To concentrate on finding solutions and achieving goals as well as Strength-Based Therapy: To empower clients by focusing on their strengths and resources.
Gottman Method: To improve relationship dynamics and foster healthy communication.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Explores and heals the different parts of the self. Gestalt Therapy: To increase self-awareness and present-moment experiences.I believe in a client-centred approach where the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, empathy, and respect.
